Responsible Trading

Stay sharp. Stay in control.

Pario is for people who are eighteen or over. It is built to be fun, not to harm. Trading should sharpen your read on the world, not stress it. This page covers the guardrails to set for yourself, the signals to watch for, and where to turn if it stops feeling like a game.

Our principle

Only stake what you can afford to lose.

Prediction markets are exciting, fast, and sometimes unforgiving. Stakes can land minutes before a deadline and shift the pool sharply. Markets resolve cleanly, the same volatility that makes Pario interesting also means real money can disappear.

Once a bet is placed it is locked in the pool until the market resolves. You cannot cancel it, you cannot sell it, and you cannot cash out early. Place the bet you are willing to live with.

The single rule that protects you, more than any tool we can ship, is this: never put in money you cannot afford to lose. If a stake going to zero would change how you eat, where you live, or how you sleep at night, you are betting too much.

A bet is a bet. It is not your rent.

Guardrails you set

Four rules to keep yourself honest.

Pario does not yet enforce deposit limits, loss limits, or session timers for you. So you have to set them for yourself. These four are the ones that actually work.

A weekly budget

Decide on Sunday how much you can lose this week without it hurting. Fund only that amount. When it is gone, you are done until next week.

A per-bet cap

Pick a maximum stake you will put on any single bet and stick to it. Big swings come from chasing, not from sizing.

A walk-away rule

Decide in advance: "After three losses in a row, I close the tab for the day." Write it down. The rule has to be made before the third loss to mean anything.

A scheduled review

Once a month, look at every bet you placed. Did it match your plan? If not, what would you change? The dashboard does not lie.

Pay attention

Warning signs

  • Betting more than you planned, and more often than you meant to.
  • Putting money you need for bills, rent, or family into your Pario wallet.
  • Chasing losses, doubling down to "make it back" instead of taking the loss.
  • Hiding your betting from people close to you.
  • Feeling anxious, restless, or low when you are not on Pario.
  • Borrowing money, selling things, or using credit to keep betting.

If one or more of these feels familiar, stop, walk away from the app, and consider talking to someone.

Aim for

Healthy habits

  • Treat money you stake as already spent. If a win comes, treat it as a bonus.
  • Take regular breaks. Step away from the app, not just the screen.
  • Track your wins and losses honestly. The dashboard does not lie.
  • Bet when you are clear-headed. Not when you are tired, drunk, or upset.
  • Talk about it. With a friend, a partner, or a counsellor, whoever you trust.
  • When in doubt, do not bet. The market will be there tomorrow.

None of these are dramatic. Stacked together, they keep betting where it belongs.

When you need a hard stop

Ask us to close your account.

Pario does not yet have an in-product self-exclusion button. If you want to step away, write to contact@pario.site and ask us to close your account on responsible-trading grounds. Tell us for how long, for example "for 30 days" or "indefinitely."

While the closure is in place, you cannot sign in, fund the wallet, or place new bets. Any bets you placed before the closure continue to run to resolution in the normal way. Once those bets have settled, we will pay any remaining wallet balance back to a verified instrument in your name.

We will not reopen the account on request before the period you asked for has passed. Saying "actually I changed my mind" the next day is exactly what the rule is there to stop.

If you are not sure whether to ask us to close it, that is usually the signal to ask us.

Get help.

There is no shame in reaching out. Talking to someone, often anonymously, is the fastest way to get perspective and a plan.

Talk to a professional

Local helplines and counsellors

Most countries run free, confidential helplines for problem gambling. Search for the official line in your country and call. They have heard everything, and they will not judge you.

Talk to someone you trust

A friend, a partner, a family member

Saying it out loud is often the hardest and most useful step. You do not need a solution at that moment, only honesty.
